Girls! If you play rugby have you ever wondered what it would be like to referee? If so, you should listen to Ella Strachan from the Northumberland Society.
Ella heard about the Young Match Official Programme (YMO) from a friend who said it was really good fun. Being a YMO had never come into her mind but she thought she’d give it a shot and found herself really enjoying it.

As Ella says, the YMO programme helps to get fresh blood into the game and build the next generation of referees. You also get to discover a different social circle, meet lots of new people and, if you are lucky, get to visit Twickenham.
